Dixon is no doubt an intriguing looking prospect at 6’5″ and a solid base to work with from a fundamental point of view. Gainesville has struggled this season though, and the offense has certainly played their part. Dixon has pretty solid film though, and in the right offense where he can get outside of the pocket and make throws on the run suits him best. There is solid velocity on his throws. Has a little bit of a hitch in his release, needs to work on L form prior to release. Dixon is a solid looking athlete, but there is little film of him running the football, so if it’s not a skill that he takes advantage of in HS, I cannot really call him a dual threat, but there is still that potential with his long lanky body picking up yardage in big chunks. Looks like he has moved over to receiver this year, so interested to see how takes to the position. At 6’5″, there is obviously some intrigue.
