Jones is an undersized defensive tackle who uses his hands really well and does a nice job of churning his feet while engaged. He does a good job of plugging up the middle, definitely a strong young player for his age group where you can see him flat out whooping solid D1 caliber OL. Jones pursues the football well from the backside, and his energy is very effective on perimeter plays where he cleans up tackles in pursuit. As a sophomore, he got a lot of reps, and his ability to bull rush into the backfield should only be more effective as he grows stronger.
