Johnson with 16 PBU’s on the year grabs your attention just from a statistical point of view, but checking out his junior film, and you can really start to like what you see with the 2021 recruit. He does a very good job of fighting for inside positioning of the receiver, and times his break up very well. Pretty solid footwork but would like to see him flip his hips a bit quicker on deep passes. Johnson tackles pretty well in the open field. He does a very good job of taking good pursuit angle and does a very good job of driving his legs through the tackle. He shows a good feel for the game, and will break off his zone to break up a pass. Johnson is now at Mill Creek for his senior year. He’s definitely a bit undersized, but plays very tough and really gets after a receiver.
