Smith has good size, and had a really productive year last fall at Wheeler. He runs pretty solid intermediate routes, but needs to work on his lateral quickness. Smith’s natural size allows him to shield the defender away from the ball. He’s a sudden jumper and can get up quickly. He’s just filling out his frame, so expect him to really grow in the next few years now that he is taking football seriously. Smith needs to play the game with more urgency. He seems to hesitate with the football in his hands, and want to see him plant his foot in the turf and get up field.
