Sampson is an above average athlete at the HS level who uses his athletic instincts to get a good jump on the play. He does a good job of hedging in the direction of the play. Seems to make a quick initial move to the ball carrier. Weight lifting number could see a bump and potentially bigger hits on film. His lateral quickness needs to improve the most. Looks like he could really hone in on his flexibility in the hips. Sampson makes a fair amount of plays, and does a good job of making contact through the ball carrier with zero hesitation.
