Mathis might not have the girth yet to make an impact at the college level, but at 6’4″ and around 200 lbs there is some decent pass rushing potential for the 2019 recruit. He moves fairly well, pretty quick getting off his blocks but needs to have much quicker hands at the same time. Mathis is a solid looking recruit, he needs a good bit of time in the weight room, but overall he has solid upside in becoming a pass-rusher at the next level. Doesn’t take very good pursuit angles though. Actually gained weight during the season, which is certainly rare, but I think that says more about how he can grow in the weight room.
