Bacon is a pure football player that you can plug at any spot on the field and he will make an impact. He’s the best player on this Miller Grove team and the leader of the team too. He doesn’t have excellent speed but does see the field extremely well, which makes him a good HS running back, but he is even more impressive at SS. Bacon will take on OL, and his physical hands knock them off balance. He is tenacious, plays the game with a passion, and just always finds himself around the football. Bacon can even play CB, but there isn’t a ton of film at that position, which is a good spot considering his frame. Bacon meets the ball carrier in the hole with intensity and keeps a flat back while making a tackle. Overall, I love his energy and hustle for the game and think he is one of the most slept on safety prospects in this class. A little more work with his footwork in pass coverage, and I think he would get more D1 looks.
