Risper is what you call a gamer, and will make big plays on the spot – hence the first play in his junior film is a 4th down stop against one of the best RBs in the state last year. He projects as a slot receiver, and what we really like from watching his film is extremely clean route running. He can really sell his fakes, does a great job of using his head to turn the the DB around. He’s a headsup player, and doesn’t give up on the play which resulted in one of the more bizarre plays last season where he caught the ball off a defender on the ground. He’s a natural doing that little hitch and go route where he utilizes his quickness especially. Risper does a nice job of getting into the defensive back and makes a hard break to the outside or inside depending on the defense. Looks like he has a lot of options, which says a lot about his IQ on the field. Risper is definitely a quality slot receiver in the state of Georgia – I would like to see a few longer runs, which has us questioning his overall speed, but in short yardage situations he can really knife up a D. One thing he needs to avoid is over juking when running after the catch, there appears to be a tendency to do that instead of just getting the most yards possible.
