The 2021 OG prospect shows a lot of urgency when he blocks. He will have to work on core strength and having more control of his body while he is engaged. He keeps a pretty flat back though. Had a tendency to get too high at times. Merklinger can block pretty well straight up, and has the type of size to really push the pile forward, definitely a better fit at OG in college Needs to work on getting quicker in the feet and becoming more flexible in the hips in general. There is a nice frame to work with, and solid fundamentals, but Merklinger needs to really sharpen up on core body this offseason, and continue to get lighter in teh feet as well.
