I didn’t expect Cooper to make as big of a jump over the last year, but the 2020 athlete really took one, and produced against all kinds of talent in the state of GA. Really impressed with how well he played against Calhoun on the road, that’s not an easy place to play and he made two nice adjustments on passes for a touchdown. Cooper is a nice slot back at the next level or also shows some potential as a DB too. I like how he can rotate his hips over, very quick in fact, and solid speed getting up field. Cooper seemed to gain responsibilities as the season progressed, which is a great sign for a junior. Right now he’s good at both positions in HS. He gained nearly 15 lbs over the last year, and I wonder if he can continue that trend too, and be closer to 190 by the time he is a junior. He can make some legit improvements in the weight room too. Cooper already has hit on his test score, definitely a D1 caliber recruit.
