McDowell looks to have worked his way fully on the varsity squad after playing sparingly as a sophomore. He originally signed up as a receiver, but it is apparent from film he is more of a cornerback at this point in time. McDowell has to improve a lot right now, but he does show the frame to do so. He is relatively quick, which is the #1 asset he brings to CB. Tackling fundamentals need more work, and we just do not see the tenacity needed while playing defense. McDowell can start off this offseason continuing the hard work he made last year in the weight training department and get a head start on putting together film that will garner more serious consideration.
