The 2022 OL is huge at 6’6″ 345 lbs. It’s just crazy that a sophomore in high school was that actual size. Some schools are sold, personally, I think he needs a good bit of work with flexibility at this point. He blocks super high, and it’s really just all about his size that gets the defender down. Sure he hits with authority, and that’s going to get all of the coaches excited seeing some blind side block that might actually get called for a penalty in today’s college football, but as a practical blocker, there isn’t a whole lot. I will say, that DeMeritt does have above average motor and seems to really enjoy getting the defender down.
