Howard went through the camp circuit this summer so he is not a new name to regional Power 5 schools. He played a fair amount last season at the offensive guard spot, really showing a relentless mindset at getting his man down. What you have to like about the big lineman is how he keeps his back flat while engaged. He needs more work in the weight room, his lack of body control indicates he needs work on his core. His upside is pretty big though, and just watching a few short clips, you can see him putting together a very good junior campaign and landing a ton of P5 offers too. On top of that, his GPA is the highest of any offensive lineman in the class of 2020. I want to see him put together a solid junior year where he gets full reps, and is put into more passing situations. Continuing to work in the weight room without losing any of his natural limberness is important to his physical development.
