Pettway plays h-back (last season), running back and linebacker over at Oconee. He’s tough as nails, and one thing you know with the senior is that he will play the game with a ton of energy and passion. He just doesn’t know to quit, and everything he does is with urgency. He looks more like a strong safety or WILL at the next level, where his aggressive nature can really attack the offense closer to the LOS, but also utilize speed to make plays out in the flat. Pettway does a nice job of exploding through his tackle attempts and dropping his hips before contact. He generates good power in the process. Being quicker with his hands, and ripping through his blocks is something I would like to improve. Pettway is a nice energy player, he can make an impact no doubt on special teams as he works his way onto a defensive two-deep.
