What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
1st team all region freshman and sophomore year. 1st team all state sophomore year. led region 3 3a in yards.
Cabellero was the 2020 offensive player of the year. The 6’1″ RB has already some college interest, and is just now above 200 lbs. That should continue to improve, and I can see Cabellero being over 220 lbs. at the next level. Caballero is a flex type of player capable of playing both RB or WR, so his value already shoots up. We like his open field vision, and the smart cuts he makes. He really plants his foot in the ground and reads the defender well, and those cutback angles should only get bigger as he matures. For a player so big, I would like to see him lower his shoulder and try to drag defenders, but the 2022 recruit definitely prefers a more elusive route to his running. He does run a tad upright, so pad level can get lower. Cabellero has a lot of athletic upside, but there are few areas he needs to iron out still. It’s definitely interesting to see him get more reps at WR too.
