Perdue jumps on film right away. He closes on the ball carrier fast. Top end acceleration allows him to close the gap and he looks explosive when making a tackle. Perdue has good length, and the ability to play a number of positions at the next level. He is a hybrid type of player at the moment, and this time a year from now should be a lot closer to 200 lbs. Perdue also is a wrestler and baseball player, so doesn’t get out to the camp circuit like some, but I like his general motor and power he tackles with to go along with very good closing speed. I think colleges will potentially wait to see how he fills out, but with his physicality, and speed it won’t be for long.
