Carlisle showed good awareness in the pocket in 2020 stepping up and finding receivers over the middle of the field. His height at 6’3-4″ certainly allows him to find the open man. He’s got a pretty good feel in the pocket and pretty quick accelerating out to buy more time. Carlisle doesn’t run too much with the ball, and in spring film he was in a non-contact jersey as well. Short to intermediate passes he has a pretty good arm, but deep balls hang up, would like to see him improve there. That has a lot to do with his footwork, but also just developing a strong base in his lower body throwing the football. Carlisle has a nice touch on deep passes down the sideline though and does a good job of leading the receiver lofting the football out for them to run under. He made some especially hard throws last year in-between zone defenders on the sideline. Carlisles ability to find open receivers as the pocket slowly collapses is by far his best skillset and shows his toughness hanging tall in the middle. He is very good at making plays on the fly.
