Hobbs is an interesting LB/SS prospect, and cleaned up a lot of tackles last year for Marietta. What impressed me about Hobbs is his ability to get around blocks and jump into the backfield. His tackling I would like to see him look more explosive, really drive the ball carrier back. He does a good job of dropping his hips on tackles attempts. He has a natural ability to work around blocks, and that seems to hearken back to his time as a running back. Hobbs has good speed out there on the field, but looks to have a frame more for SS than MLB at this point. Interested to see how he continues to fill out heading into next fall.
