Murphy is like many of his Mt. Zion Jonesboro teammates, which is very aggressive. The class of 2021 cornerback has nice length and a good breakup radius. He is quick enough to go along with pretty good footwork too. Tons of PBU’s on film here. Murphy is a well coached football player. I would like to see him get his head turned around on these deeper footballs but definitely a proficient man coverage CB. Son of a coach, and that shows on film. He is a solid tackler who settles into his attempt and explodes through the hips. Decent physicality getting off blocks, probably a boundary corner at the next level.
