Hartage plays the game with good patience, and doesn’t seem to ever be in too big of a rush while in the pocket. Last season as a junior he grew as a QB, and senior year he is doing a terrific job of spreading the ball around to his team. Hartage throws a nice football, he has good agility to escape out of the pocket and create his own passing lanes. He release is pretty quick, very compact and doesn’t have much wasted motion. Throws the ball with good trajectory, getting a good arch on the pass in the redzone so his teammate has a high-point situation. Hartage can absolutely run a spread offense at the next level, and do it very effectively. He’s a very good runner, outstanding instincts in the open field and using his blockers. Just a good natural athlete, does a nic job of getting defenders bunched together and creating bad pursuit angles. Biggest improvement this season seems to be Hartage is checking down more and using all of his options across the field.
