Mays is a born hitter, he has tremendous size already over 300 lbs. The 2020 o-lineman is capable of a violent hit or two per game it seems. Body control needs more work, and Big Mays needs slow down his blocking and work on his hand placement. Technique is improved over his junior year, but working on leverage more would really help. Would like to see him work on his hip flexibility more, definitely keeping his back flatter senior year. Mays is a better fit to play OG at the next level. Would like to see him get on his toes more when engaged and to generate more power when run blocking. Mays does a nice job pass blocking, his kick-step is pretty solid and he has a better feel staying in front of the defender in pass pro over run blocking up field.
