Ransom will stick his nose into the action of the play, taking on blocks from players significantly bigger than him and is tough player all around. Tackling appears to be pretty good, drops his hips and goes through the attempt. Ransom has really improved over the last year in pass coverage, he looks a lot smoother in the hips in coverage and has a good burst too. His 4.22 shuttle time at the Nike Combine is very impressive, but even more so, his 38″ vertical. Ransom has a slight frame, but is a good tackler in space and goes in with a lot of intensity. He has put together a solid season, has about 6 PBU’s this season so far in a run-heavy classification. Ransom has excellent ball skills, his couple of interceptions this year showcases some legit potential to play jump balls at the next level regardless of who he is guarding height-wise.
