Boyd does a nice job of playing out in space his hip quickness is pretty good for a SS prospect. He plays with violent hands getting off blocks or breaking up a pass. I really like how he squares up his tackle attempts. He shows good footwork moving in coverage, but would like to see his lateral quickness improve some. Boyd shows the frame and skill set to play either of the safety spots for that matter. He is a very physically tough player, watching him take on blocks against OL and fill the hole says a lot about the type of player Boyd is.
