Smith was a good contributor at linebacker last year at Telfair County. He does a good job of getting out to the sideline and attacking the run play. He has pretty good lateral quickness and bounces around in the tackle box to get around blockers well. Very good strength. See him make several tackles while being blocked. Smith just seems to have knack at being around the football. He gets low on his tackle attempts, meets the ball carrier at the waist and drives his legs through the attempt. He’s not a big athlete, but has a very good motor. Continuing to work on lateral quickness to go along with general strength will continue to help the short but stout defender.
