The 6’4″ SS recruit moves pretty well to the football. He’s probably going to end up growing out of the position and into an OLB at this point. Turner is a pretty good tackler, he’s very aggressive at the point of attack, and can blow up FBS level TE with ease using overpowering explosiveness. I like Turner as a recruit, but he has to gain more weight, and he doesn’t exactly show that aggressive spirit we look for in big time defender recruits, but that can change with more experience. Needs to do a better job of squaring up on his tackle attempts and dropping his hips before making a tackle. Tons of upside considering his length and raw tools. Shows pretty ball skills and above average man coverage for a SS/OLB prospect.
