Chattahoochee has been a lot more competitive this season and the basketball player turn tight end certainly looks to be settling into his new position. Biggest concern would be how physical he was, and that is answered pretty quickly when he lowered his shoulder and sent a Rockdale player into another planet. That’s not to say we didn’t see the dreaded quick-cut right before he was about to get laid out. There is no doubt about it Patterson is a really good athlete, and can move exceptionally well for his size. He has a springy runnig stride, and changes directions really well for a tight end. He still needs a lot of work in the weight room, and mostly relies on his length as a blocker. For right now he looks like an FCS player, but if we saw a little more production in the redzone that could change.
