ESR will be at the Elite GA game in December, so we’ll get to see him up close. Just off the hoof, it’s pretty obvious that the 2021 QB has legit size, and this seems to be a smaller QB class in the state, so that should bode well for him. Smith-Rooks stands tall in the pocket taking some brutal hits, but still on the money. Release needs to be quicker and needs to raise his arm slot too. Would like to see him shift his weight more into his throws. Does a very good job of hanging the ball up there for his elite receiver to go make a play. Solid pocket passing QB. He varies the trajectory of the pass depending on the situation, but seems to have a good enough arm to put the football on a line too. As mentioned earlier, he throws off his back foot some of the time and that really minimizes his velocity and distance. Looks like he had a very good season. Reads the defense fairly well, but also hones in on possibly the best receiver in the state in his class too, so very curious to see him live at the Elite Georgia Classic.
