Barber stands out on film right off the bat when you see the 2023 defensive get the quickest jump of anyone on the line of scrimmage. He has a legit motor and gets into the backfield fast. The junior uses his length well and gets solid leverage when taking on a blocker. Barber plays the game the right way with a lot of energy, but he needs to improve his agility overall hip flexibility. Barber is hard nosed player who will even deliver some tough blocks down field. I really like his energy, and his timing of the snap is really good, but he lacks the explosiveness and speed to play at the highest level. That still doesn’t mean Barber won’t get some legit FCS interest throughout the process.
