Anyone who took a moment to watch Dennard’s senior film should come away impressed. He made multiple key stops in the red zone or on 3rd down. Shows above average acceleration and even better physicality going in for a tackle. Dennard has excellent length at 6’2″, which gives a great radius to break up passes. The 2020 recruit goes into a tackle not with the best form, but is a brutal hitter none the less. It would be better to see him get lower on his attempts, and there really is no question that the senior DB can get there as a tackler. His length and tough style of play means that Dennard has some versatility to play CB or FS at the next level – you see him do that at times during his senior year even. Dennard is a pretty fluid runner who seems to be best suited in a zone heavy defense if he stays at CB. His production to go along with his measurements should warrant some late attention from D1 and D2 programs alike.
