Mahone can sure enough throw a football, and it’s amazing what he can do in the pocket with the defense bearing down. He has lightning quick feet but more impressive is his balance on absorbing contact and keeping his feet up right. He’s an explosive little playmaker, and his ability to change direction, show a nice hesitation move to throw a defender off but also the toughness to cut back into the defense more yardage. He needs to learn to get down earlier though and not take such big hits. Mahone is a solid football player, and realistically he will have to play slot receiver at the next level, but he does show a legit arm in fact, a very accurate pass and good vision upfield despite his size.
