Sharpe has a lot of athleticism and plays with a high motor. One thing that stands out is how patient Sharpe plays out on the edge. He stays at home and also does a good job of playing physical, setting the edge and attack the offensive blocker. The Campbell senior doesn’t appear to have the frame to play defensive end (his position in HS) but at the next level, he could easily transition to outside linebacker for a team that runs a 3-4 base set. Sharpe gets solid leverage but we do not see much in terms of swim moves to get off his blocks, so should be an area of focus moving forward.
