Simpson will be fighting his way onto the varsity squad this year playing a lot in pass coverage situations from looking at his skill set. He shows pretty fluid hips and ability to change directions looks perfect to play the WILL role at the next level. He is a smart player, reacts really quickly to the play in these practice situations. Simpson needs some legit reps on the varsity at this point. At 5’11” and 190 lbs he shows good strength, and you have to please with the upside he shows in pass coverage. He shows the potential to play SS at the next level honestly.
