Hughes looks like a tremendous athlete in his spring film exploding to the ball carrier and unleashing massive hits. The 2020 OLB flat out brings it when making a tackle. He’s really effective sending off the edge where his speed applies so much pressure for the QB to make a quick decision. He looks very comfortable playing out in the flat and his speed to get out to the sideline is impressive. Hughes should be a really good WILL at the next level, but he’ll def need more reps to improve his pursuit angles for sure. I can see him getting up to 220-225 and be a nice weapon against spread offenses.
