Mercer made some really nice blocks at the Elite Classic game, and caught our eye especially on one play where he pulled across the line of scrimmage and sealed his guy of which resulted in massive hole for a 55 yard touchdown. His powerful hands can really knock the defender off the ball. He has really good leg drive but can block a little too high at times. I think he is a borderline FBS player, but he needs to work on some of his body and shed his baby fat. Mercer is a tough football player, his mindset sets the tone for your entire offensive line. Offseason he has gained about 10 lbs to his frame, adding good 20 to his bench max. Mercer has been battle tested the last few years blocking against elite defenders.
