Madison has a solid 6’1″ 275 lbs. frame and does a solid job of clogging up the middle. He does a nice job of shading in the direction of the run play and seems to have a generally good motor. What I like the most about Madison though is his hands. They are pretty quick, and he does a solid job of getting leverage. He has pretty good quickness showing a 4.85 shuttle time at our combine, but would still like to see him get quicker out his stance. Solid all around fundamentals, the biggest area for Madison to improve is getting strong in the weight room, so their is more impact at the point of attack. Definitely needs to get stronger in the hips and power clean should be a focus. That should make his effective swim move all the more potent. Madison hustle is very good, and when he is in the open field shows solid acceleration to his top speed. Working on his quickness laterally is also another area to improve, but it’s really hard to find a DT in his classification with similar production, and you have to love the tackles he makes out in the flat or even further down field. Plus, he also plays offensive line, showing that the 2021 recruit has good endurance, and a broad understanding of the game.
