Johnson did not play last year. It appears that he was injured, but the 2022 recruit was on our radar early on. He is a big wide frame and is now up to 265, a nearly 35 lbs. increase in the last year. At this point, we view Johnson as a DT. He is pretty quick coming off the edge, but is probably a better bet to be at DT at the next level. Tackling is okay, would honestly like to see him get lower on his attempts. He was a raw player his sophomore year, and without much junior film it’s all just guessing at this point in how the 2022 recruit has progressed. I do like his acceleration to his top speed, but does need work getting quicker with his feet moving laterally.
