Clark was an All-Region performer his sophomore year. He’s a solid athlete at 6′ 190 lbs. and has a reported 38″ vertical. Not sure if I’m really sold on that sort of explosiveness, it doesn’t show on film. Needs to be more aggressive getting downhill and defending the run. Almost waits for the ball carrier to get to him and just don’t like how he closes, very sloppy footwork and is susceptible of getting burned. Clark does read the pass well, and already has a few INT’s on the year after a strong showing as a sophomore. He’s definitely a solid athlete – against Montgomery Co. he literally threw a tackler off of him and then ran up the middle for a 30 yard touchdown. Good blend of raw power and determination right there. Clark needs to clean up closing out on a tackle for sure, but he is certainly a rock-solid athlete.
