Barrett has gained nearly 15 pounds since last fall, and the weight lifting improvements that he has shown is equally impressive, especially the 40 pound increase to his power clean. The 2019 recruit is obviously becoming very serious with college recruiting. Last fall his aggressive blocking style helped him win a lot of battles by being quicker than his opponent. He gets really low and gets solid leverage. Roswell tries to use him in a lot of roles where he is pulling or getting to the 2nd level. A lot of HS’s would have him lined up at C, but Roswell is already set there. Barrett is an above average blocker, and heading into his senior year with added weight, we would like to see him finish off more blocks with pancakes.
