McCarthur had a really solid start to his JR year. He has a wide body, and does a nice job playing with his hands, which are very strong. Needs to work on his hip flexibility, so gets out of his stance a little quicker. He has a powerful lower body, and is an impactful tackler. McCarthur has a lot of ability, and from a shear athletic stand point he catches your eye on film. He has a lot of upside, and still not close to meeting his athletic potential. FBS caliber recruit for the class of 2019.
