Murdock is short stout linebacker who played all of last year on varsity for Peachtree Ridge. His field awareness is impressive, even more for a player who is only 5’8″. Going against top competition in Georgia, these o-lines are tall, but Murdock continues to make plays on film. He’s very aggressive, and does a great job of anticipating the play and shooting the gap. Tackling is solid, he gets low and torpedoes the ball carrier to the ground. Murdock has excellent lateral quickness and he constantly chases after the ball carrier on film – shows really good hustle. I think a D2 team should find a spot for a guy like Murdock, he does so many things right and takes outstanding pursuit angles. He could jump right in and makes plays for a team on special teams. True football player.
