Owens transferred from McEachern to South Cobb for this upcoming fall. He has excellent athletic potential and obviously needs more time in the weight room. Given his frame, we think the 2018 recruit can end up over 280 pounds if given the proper training. He does a nice jof reading the play, and shading in the direction of the play. Doesn’t buy into fakes and sticks with whoever ends up with the ball on the mesh. With teams running so much option and spreading out defenses, having a player like Owens will become even more important. We would like to see him get quicker out of his stance, and continue to work on his flexibility as well.
