Wilkins played OLB for most of HS, but has the athleticism and speed to be a MIKE or WILL at the next level. His straight line speed is very good, and you can see why he gets reps at RB. Wilkins can absolutely go. As a defender, his tackling is too high and he doesn’t show very good fundamentals wrapping up at the thighs. He’s set to get a lot of carries his senior year, but we still like his upside the most at linebacker. Early film shows the 2022 splitting the gaps and making some nice tackles for a loss during early senior film. He’s a very good athlete, but doesn’t play with the urgency or motor consistently on defense.
