Venn had 800 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns in 2019, and if you were just watching the state title game you would have seen the 2022 back house a 75 yard touchdown. He has good speed. That’s evident on film, but where he is really starting to turn the corner as a runner is with his vision. Venn sees cutback angles and goes for them. He doesn’t always successfully make the cut, but he sees the field well, and with a little more lower body strength he won’t get knock down too easily. His lateral quickness and ability to bound across the LOS is pretty unique. He gets his pads low before contact and has a knack at slipping into the cracks and getting more yardage falling forward. There is a lot of Warrick Dunn to his game, but will need to get stronger in the lower half before you can legit make the comparison. Venn is a smooth athlete though, and should be considered the top APB in this class here in Georgia.
