Morris was on the varsity already as a freshman. The 2023 linebacker with a wrestling background is an aggressive defender. He pursues the ball with intensity, watching him run 20-30 yards down field in backside pursuit. He’s a strong athlete already, and quickly gets the ball carrier down. Tackling is okay, I would like to see him settle into an attempt and try to square up better on his attempts. Cannot deny the hustle – the 2023 recruit definitely has a very good motor. Strong as can be too, took down the big 6’3″ senior athlete at Bacon Co. with relative ease as a freshman. Sophomore season Morris is hitting with even more impact, getting lower and looking a lot stronger in the hips. He’s grown 3 inches since last fall.
