Smith is a good passer, and shows nice footwork moving around in the pocket. He has a solid follow through and does a good job of throwing off his front foot where he carries over his weight. He also has a very quick release. Smith can put the ball on a tight spiral. Last year he threw some gems down the sideline where he led the receiver extremely well. Throws the football with a good trajectory too. Shows above average arm strength with a few tough passes off his back leg or on the run. His strong arm and mechanics should attract D1 interest, but would like to see him lead his team to stronger results in 2020.
