Neal is a 2021 recruit who has been signed up for several years now on our site, and we have seen the young linebacker grow about 3 inches over the last few years while slowly packing on the weight. What you have to like about the 2021 recruit is flow to the football, there is a lot of urgency with him getting to the ball carrier and he seems to react very naturally. There is definitely more room to grow in the weight room, and would have to think Neal will make a good jump in the next year, especially in the lower body. Gets around blocks, pretty quick finding his way into the backfield and tackling is pretty good. Would like to see him drop his hips before a tackle and try explode through the hips – more often then not we see Neal making tackles too high and around the shoulders. Very physical with his hands, scrapes off blocks where he takes on big linemen and still makes plays.
