McCarty is a slept-on receiver in this class with excellent grades and is a big-play threat waiting to happen. He gets upfield quickly and at 6’2″ his long angular frame creates some big chunk plays. If his QB had a strong arm, then I think you would see even longer passes, but at times McCarty is waiting for the pass before he can haul it in. Definitely think he can play at the D1 level. McCarty just needs to continue to fill out his frame and should be a solid 190-200 lbs. receiver at the next level with good hands. Seeing him break more tackles after the catch and use his explosive first step to fake defenders out would be a nice sight to see in 2020.
