Shephard is a solid athlete with above-average acceleration, so he can break on the football quickly on short passes. He has a very good season as a sophomore, and picked back up as a junior with good production. Plays the football well, and is pretty physical too. Very active with his hands, does a nice job pressing the receiver, and does track the pass pretty well. Tackling probably is his best skill, does a good job of dropping his hips and wrapping up at the waist. More of a boundary corner, even though he has a lighter frame; might even play some FS even in college. Senior year he is showing some additional ball skills, high-pointing passes and being a bigger part of the offense it seems.
