Thornton can fly to the football and does a really good job of settling his hips and getting low on his tackle attempt. The undersized backer is all gas getting into the backfield, and his speed definitely is a difference maker. Can play out in space, good speed out to the sideline. Pretty effective stopping the screen pass out to the flat. Thornton plays the game with a passion out there on the field. He going to have to play NB in college, and pass coverage skills are pretty much unknown based off film. Doesn’t always tackle too cleanly, I think he needs to add more strength.
