Allen, nicknamed ‘the dude”, was a nice little scat back for Elbert last year mostly taking dives out of the shot gun right into the teeth of the defense. He plays with low pad level, even for a shorter guy, and I like how he finds little seams to split though the offensive line. Allen’s compact body allows him to break through tackles and stay up right. He shows above average acceleration, and broke off a few long runs last season, but not completely sold on his top end speed translating to big plays at the next level. He does change directions really well, and he can make a cut with out losing much speed at all. Allen’s running instincts are well above average for his grade. Interested to see if he is any faster this fall, either way I think the QB/RB combo at Elbert will be more explosive for sure in terms of running talent.
